Indian Nationals do require a valid tourist visa to visit the United Kingdom for tourism purposes. It is known as the Standard Visitor Visa. The length of stay is 6 months. However, if you plan to visit frequently you can apply for a 2-year, 5-year or 10-year visa.

  1. Determine the type of visa you need and fill out the online application form. You will need to provide personal and travel information, as well as supporting documents. 
  2. Pay the visa fee
  3. Book your appointment at a UK Visa Application Centre, where you will submit the documents required, give your biometric information such as fingerprint and photograph.
  4. Wait for a decision on your visa application. It may take 4 to 6 weeks to process. So plan ahead and apply well in advance of your intended travel date.

  1. Indian Passport with minimum 6 month validity and 2 blank pages
  2. Visa Application Form with Document Checklist
  3. 2 recent photographs 35mm x 45mm, with white background and 80% face coverage.
  4. Evidence of Funds 
    1. Bank Statements 6 months, IT Returns 3 years, Pay slips 3 months, Details of Investments 
    2. For self-employed MOA or Registration certificate with Bank Statements 6 months and IT returns of Company for 3 years.
    3. For Minor or Sponsored - Supporting financial documents of sponsor
  5. Personal Covering Letter mentioning purpose of visit, intended date of departure and arrival, who are you travelling with, and how you are going to fund this trip.
  6. NOC from Employer
  7. Visa Fee Payment Receipt.
